Why do my messages need to be approved first?+
Meta (WhatsApp's parent company) requires all bulk messages to be reviewed before sending. This is what keeps WhatsApp spam-free and why it has a 98% open rate — people trust what lands in their WhatsApp. You write your message in WABlast, submit it, and Meta approves it — usually within minutes to a few hours. It's a once-off step per message. After that, you can send it to as many contacts as you like, as often as you need.
How long does it take to get started?+
Signing up and paying takes about 5 minutes. Your dedicated WhatsApp number is assigned automatically after payment — this can take up to 48 hours while we set it up on Meta's system. Once your number is ready, you create your first message, get it approved (usually a few hours), and you're sending. Most clients are fully up and running within 24–48 hours of signing up.
Will my number get banned?+
No. WABlast uses the official Meta WhatsApp Business API — the same technology used by banks, retailers, and airlines. Because your messages are pre-approved and you're on the official API, there is zero ban risk. This is completely different from grey-area tools that scan QR codes or automate the consumer app — those get numbers banned within days.
Do my contacts need to save the number to receive messages?+
No. Messages are delivered to any valid South African WhatsApp number whether or not the recipient has saved you. The message appears as a normal WhatsApp chat and they can reply directly.
What format does my contact list need to be in?+
Any Excel (.xlsx) or CSV file works. WABlast automatically detects your Name and Cell columns — no specific format required. SA numbers starting with 0 are converted to +27 automatically. If your list is in a spreadsheet, you're ready.
What happens when I run out of messages?+
Sending pauses automatically until your plan renews at the start of your next billing cycle. You can upgrade to a higher plan at any time — your message count increases immediately.
Are there hidden fees or Meta charges on top?+
